"Assisting the indigenous people who are saving the Earth, Our Mother"

We seek no less, than to be ambassadors of planetary health, and a well-spring of regeneration for peaceable indigenous peoples, all peoples, and all life, throughout the length and breadth of this Earth.

The Tree of Life Guardianship is a spiritual impetus for the awakening of humanity, a beatific talisman, a force of mystical pragmatism. The organization is, in its essence, a ‘Guardianship’ —whose fundamental motive is the healing, regeneration, and well-being of the Earth.

Due to its Native American heritage, the board directorship of the TLG possesses valuable insight into the present day state of human affairs. The understanding and valuation of life held by Native Americans cannot be learned in a book. It is an awakening acquired through experience. It is a ‘cogniton’ that gives knowledge. The knowledge that enlightens consciousness is ancient; like the stepped rice patties of China— fields tilled and tended for centuries—the soil of the human heart is cultivated with certain wisdom.

We are taught to respect Mother Earth, and her creatures who are our relatives. We are contiguous with Mother Earth; we are not separate from her. Her flesh is our flesh. We are ‘nature’, we are her mind; we are of her, we belong to her.

We live in a time of unprecedented crisis; a crisis which has gone largely unheeded, given its true severity. The Earth, and all things indigenous to the earth, are presently gripped in vast cycles and spasms of convulsive death—of reckless, and relentless extinction.

We stand on the edge of a precipice, in the midst of the sixth and swiftest, mass extinction of the planet. And we forge, in a cauldron of fire and iron, the fate of tomorrows’ children. Our choices, the hammer of our commitment, the anvil of our imaginations, and the intensity of our determination, will determine the ethics of our society as a collective entity. Let that fire be love, that iron a blessed future, and that vision, the well-being of future generations.

Indigenous people represent the proverbial ‘canary in the mine shaft’ for humanity; they vanish in pace with ecosystem collapse. The rapid disappearance of indigenous people across the earth’s remote wildernesses forebodes a looming swell of impending planetary cataclysm. This developing turbulence, like a tsunami of ecological destructive fury, amasses in ever-escalating tensions along the shores of modern civilization. Left unchecked, it foreshadows imminent doom for humanity. The Day draws near; the hour is right on our heels.

Our very survival, as well as our potential to flourish, hinges in the balance of our ability to selflessly act. We must learn to love in such a way that the sacrifices we make become a solid support for our joy.

We must combine our hearts, and with every means at our disposal, act to re-gather the destiny of coming generations. Let our intentions be set first upon the future of the children. They, who, in the end, it is our first privilege to guard, to nurture and defend. We have lived, we have learned; it is now our honor to give what we have gained.

The purpose of the TLG is to purchase lands that indigenous people steward. By giving them legal rights to ancestral lands, indigenous ecological wisdom will survive. With the survival of indigenous knowledge, the last healthy ecosystems on Earth will continue to flourish.

These ecosystems generate vast reserves of natural wealth that humanity will forever depend upon. By learning to manage this wealth through age-old wisdom, humanity is given tools that translate into human economic survival. In time, the earth will recharge her forces of life and bring forth new abundance. A new era will dawn. The flowers of a new springtime will unfold across the four quarters of the earth.

The Great Tree will blossom again. Then the people will rejoice, for they will have chosen life over death; and their reward will be indescribable. Humanity will attain harmony with God, harmony with nature, harmony within its own reality. The spirit will have returned to its former blessed state, and man will have merged in natural symbiosis with the divine unity.

We seek to be ambassadors to help usher in a new golden age, a blessed springtime of life. Our native teachings and prophesies tell us that ‘this is possible’; If humanity chooses the right path it will come. We must live and become our teachings, we must exert effort and make a real path for our prayers. If we be true in ourselves, if we be honest, all of this will come to pass. Then we shall know, as our elders tell us, that , “We don’t have a religion. We are our religion.” We can be the pulse of God’s life-giving heartbeat.

The TLG functions in a holistic modality for the healing and transformation of the world. We are not merely a land conservation organization. We are not merely a cultural preservation organization. Neither are we simply the embodiment of visionary frontier: Articulating a new paradigm of reality, and its sacred spirit; architecting relationships of sustainability for humanity — in the matrix of ‘First Birth’— by healing the Umbilicus of the Earth: We are Guardians of Life; ‘spirit gardeners of Life’s holy Tree ’. We are seed bearers for the awakening of humanity; seed planters whose gardens grow, to revolutionize the fate of indigenous societies and to regenerate the earth.

Pragmatic in its approach, the Tree of Life Guardianship, draws its direction and orientation from the application of concrete scientific theory and timeless mystical principal. It is ultimately guided by indigenous elders.

As Henry Whiteshield puts it, "What the Tree of Life Guardianship is mostly about is the spiritual awakening of the planet. We have to listen to what the echoes of the grandfathers want for us; the breath and spirituality of our ancestors precede our footprints on this earth."
